Job Description
Position Summary
We’re looking for a proactive, organized team player to support accounts receivable activities and customer communication. This role involves frequent phone work, account follow-up, reporting, and collaboration with Sales and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Answer inbound calls and assist customers with account-related questions.
Make outbound calls to:
Follow up with “no sale” accounts that have past-due balances and have not yet been contacted, helping prevent them from moving to the pre-collections list.
Contact customers with tax balances and provide instructions for submitting resale certificates.
Verify the status of customers with older credits and coordinate refunds or follow-up with a sales representative to apply the credits.
Partner with the team to reduce balances in the over-120-day aging bucket.
Run accounts receivable reports and “no sale” lists.
Review and update rating fields.
Release credit holds in accordance with company procedures.
Monitor and respond to the shared inbox.
Communicate with sales representatives and internal departments.
Assist with special projects and other tasks as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong verbal communication skills and confidence speaking with customers by phone.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Proactive, collaborative approach to teamwork.
